Leisure Books To Borrow

The open collection of printed documents comprises over 6000 publications available for borrowing. The collection encompasses publications in the following fields:

  • Lithuanian and foreign fiction,
  • popular medicine, 
  • psychology,
  • technology,
  • cultural studies, 
  • philosophy,
  • religion, theology,
  • literary studies and criticism,
  • politics and law,
  • culinary arts,
  • ethnography, history.

Books can be read in the library or borrowed (the code for such titles begins with LS). Borrowing is available to all registered users of the National Library who have a valid LIBIS user card and who have updated (re-registered) their registration details in the current year. A maximum of 10 books can be borrowed for a period of 30 days. Once this period has expired, it can be extended for a further 14 days.
